The Europathon aims at creating new digital tools in the service of peace, to ensure a sustainable peace in the 21st century at the time of affirmation from a connected transnational society. This projects call on HSS students and academics from the Pays de la Loire region, but also in IT development, culture and digital creation for collective workshops, using new technologies, artificial intelligence, gaming, robotic or vitrual reality, to address issues ranging from post-conflict well-being to the promotion of peace education. It will gather students from Nantes and students from the UniPaix Center’s international partners.
With the Europathon, the first ambition is to propose concrete and sustainable solutions to the stated challenges in 24 hours. The projects must include a usage scenario to testify to their smooth functioning and to the awaited reaction from the civil society, and a presentation in the most appropriate format in order to develop the selected idea and the challenge to which it answers.
Teamwork, deadline, brainstorming and usage scenario, the Europathon proposes a real immersion in the digital humanities’ environment, in partnership with the Hall 6 of Nantes University, an interdisciplinary cluster focused on digital technologies.
