Call for papers – The EU in a globalized world

The EU-Asia Institute organizes a workshop on the 30th of November and 1st of December 2020 in the Campus of Lyon of the ESSCA School of Management on the following topic: The EU in a Globalized World.

The Conference offers a real opportunity to bring together scientists of different disciplines, discuss new issues, tackle complex problems and find advanced solutions breeding new trends in International Relations.

Submitted papers will be subject to stringent peer review and carefully evaluated based on originality, significance and clarity of exposition. Accepted papers will be presented in the Conference and may be improved through questions and suggestions from the members of the panels. The authors of a selected number of top-quality papers will be requested to extend their papers for further review and publication on the one hand in the Online Encyclopedia on European Integration and on the other hand in an edited book.

The EU-Asia institute accepts paper submission in the following categories:

  • EU international relations with foreign countries.
  • European integration.
  • EU foreign policy.
  • Institutional development within the EU.
  • Common Market and Free Trade.
  • Sustainable development and EU policies.

Information on expected papers and evaluation process:

Authors can submit a paper of max 6000 words, excluding references, bibliography and annexes or an abstract of 200 words to Professors Alexandre Bohas (alexander.bohas@essca.fr) and Thomas Hoerber (thomas.hoerber@essca.fr).

Deadline for paper proposals:  30 September 2020

You will be notified if your application has been successful by the 30 of October 2020.

There are no registration fees for this workshop. Lunch and coffee breaks will be covered by the EU-Asia institute.
